Reforming energy guarantees of origin
Sellers of gas and hydrogen will be required to disclose the origin of the energy and its climate emissions to customers on their invoices. In addition, waste incineration plants will be temporarily eligible for waste heat guarantees of origin for the heat they produce until the end of 2031.

Expanding guarantees of origin for energy
Finland will introduce a new system of guarantees of origin for energy, expanding from electricity to also cover gas, hydrogen, as well as heating and cooling. In addition to renewable energy, guarantees of origin will also be granted for nuclear power and waste heat and cold.
