Reintroducing afforestation aid for wasteland
Afforestation aid for wasteland will be reintroduced for 2027–2029 to increase forest area and carbon sinks. Private landowners will be able to apply for state aid to plant forest on, for example, fields taken out of cultivation or former peat extraction sites.
