Finland will introduce the EU Galileo system's jam-resistant satellite positioning service for public authorities and companies critical to security of supply. At the same time, the information society fee levied on telecom operators will be increased to maintain a location data service for underground network infrastructure.

Regulation and licensing of space activities
Legislation on space activities will be established in Finland and a national register for space objects will be created. Prior authorisation from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will have to be sought for launching satellites and for other space activities.
