Eduskunnan päätöksen mukaisesti muutetaan jätteen ja muun aineen mereen laskemisen aiheuttaman meren pilaantumisen ehkäisemisestä tehdyn vuoden 1972 yleissopimuksen vuoden 1996 pöytäkirjaan vuonna 2009 tehtyjen muutosten lainsäädännön alaan kuuluvien määräysten voimaansaattamisesta annetun lain (636/2017) 2 § seuraavasti:

Muutosten muiden kuin lainsäädännön alaan kuuluvien määräysten voimaansaattamisesta ja soveltamisesta ennen muutosten kansainvälistä voimaantuloa sekä tämän lain voimaantulosta säädetään valtioneuvoston asetuksella.
Valtioneuvoston asetuksella voidaan säätää, että tätä lakia sovelletaan ennen muutosten kansainvälistä voimaantuloa.
§
Tämä laki tulee voimaan päivänä kuuta 20 .
