Eduskunnan päätöksen mukaisesti muutetaan ulosottokaaren (705/2007) 4 luvun 48 §, sellaisena kuin se on osaksi laissa 60/2018, seuraavasti:

48 §Suojaosuus
Määräajoin maksettavan palkan ulosmittauksessa velallisen suojaosuus on velallisen itsensä osalta 30,75 euroa ja hänen elatuksensa varassa olevan puolison, oman lapsen ja puolison lapsen osalta 8,99 euroa päivässä seuraavaan palkan maksupäivään asti. Suojaosuus lasketaan kuukaudessa 30 päivältä.
Puolisolla tarkoitetaan 1 momentissa aviopuolisoa ja avioliitonomaisissa olosuhteissa elävää. Velallisen elatuksen varassa olevana pidetään henkilöä, jonka saama tulo ei ylitä velallisen itsensä osalta laskettavaa suojaosuutta, ja tällaista lasta siitä riippumatta, osallistuuko myös toinen puoliso hänen elatukseensa. Velallisen maksama elatusapu voidaan ottaa huomioon siten kuin 51, 52 ja 53 §:ssä säädetään.
Suojaosuuden määrä tarkistetaan oikeusministeriön asetuksella vuosittain. Rahamäärien tarkistamiseen sovelletaan kansaneläkeindeksistä annettua lakia (456/2001). Edellä 1 momentissa säädetyt suojaosuuden määrät vastaavat kansaneläkeindeksin pistelukua 1805.

Tämä laki tulee voimaan päivänä kuuta 20 .
