What is proposed

The aviation supervisory fee charged for passengers aged two years and older departing from an airport on commercial air transport services would decrease from 1.00 euros to 0.90 euros. The fee would continue to be collected from airport operators only for the portion exceeding 20,000 euros.

What it means

The act would enter into force on 1 January 2020. The change would reduce central government fee revenue by an estimated 1.3 million euros to approximately 11.8 million euros per year. The fee applies to airport operators, who may decide whether to pass the 10-cent reduction on to customer charges collected from airlines and passengers.
