Consolidating state customer service points
In-person customer services of state authorities will be consolidated into shared customer service points across Finland. At the service points, people will be able to handle matters with several authorities under one roof in person or via a remote connection, as well as receive digital support.

More flexible agency office network
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency will be able to decide on the locations of its offices in its own rules of procedure instead of by government decree. The change will make it easier to adapt the service network to increased online transactions and joint central government customer service points.

Reforming joint public service points
Joint customer service points in public administration will be reformed to better provide guidance and support for digital transactions. Customer services can be provided via remote connections or home visits, for example, alongside traditional in-person visits.

Reforming identity card application and delivery
An identity card can be applied for electronically without visiting a police station, and the finished card will be delivered directly to a collection point. Cards can also be applied for at Finnish missions abroad, but health insurance details will be removed from new cards.
