Preventing falsified medicines and pharmacy agreements
Mandatory safety features will be introduced for prescription medicine packaging to enable verification of the authenticity of medicines and prevent falsifications. At the same time, pharmacies will have an obligation to check a customer's pharmacy agreement when dispensing medicines prone to abuse.

Updating EU references in the Narcotics Act
References to European Union provisions in the Narcotics Act will be updated to correspond to current EU law. The amendment ensures that the definitions of narcotics and the control of precursors remain up to date.

Expanding police security checks at events
The police will be able to search persons present in the area of public events and gatherings, searching not only for dangerous objects but also for other prohibited substances, such as drugs. Where the situation requires, a search may be conducted without a concrete suspicion of an offence.
