Updating emissions trading rules for 2021–2030
Finland's emissions trading rules will be updated for the EU's new emissions trading period 2021–2030. Allocation procedures for emission allowances will be streamlined and authority duties transferred to the Energy Authority.

Streamlining and digitising enforcement proceedings
Enforcement proceedings will be sped up and made more flexible by increasing electronic service and online services. At the same time, rules on selling distrained property will be eased and the interruption of the limitation of debts will be clarified.
