Strengthening toy and appliance market surveillance
The powers of the authorities to monitor the safety of toys, machinery and appliances will be strengthened, particularly in e-commerce. At the same time, more specific penalties will be laid down for violations of product safety rules.

Reforming gas appliance safety regulation
A new Gas Appliances Act will be enacted in Finland to supplement the EU Gas Appliances Regulation. The act clarifies market surveillance of gas appliances, language requirements, and sanctions imposed for breaches of the rules.
