Enhancing supervision of animal transport
Animal transport supervision will be stepped up by granting Finnish Customs the right to inspect transports and by requiring a journey log for the export of reindeer and fur animals. In addition, the boundary between commercial activity and private hobby activities will be clarified.

Repealing the obsolete land protection act
The Act on the Protection of Land Against Damage by Domestic Animals, dating from 1921, will be repealed as obsolete and unnecessary. Damage caused by domestic animals will directly be subject to the general Tort Liability Act.
