New subsidies for forest nature management
Forest owners can receive new state subsidies if they leave more broadleaf trees in their forests, restore mires, manage herb-rich forests, or leave buffer zones along water bodies. The new results-based subsidies will trial more effective ways to improve forest biodiversity and water protection.

A new forestry support scheme
State subsidies for private forest owners would be reformed under a new seven-year incentive scheme.
