Harmonising appeal procedures in agriculture and forestry
The administrative branch of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will adopt a procedure under which appeals to the Supreme Administrative Court will always require leave to appeal. At the same time, official public notices and service of documents will primarily move to websites.

Establishing the Finnish Food Authority
The Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira and the Agency for Rural Affairs (Mavi) will be merged into a new Finnish Food Authority at the beginning of 2019. At the same time, sectoral information management tasks from the National Land Survey of Finland and the supervision of the use of plant protection products from Tukes will be brought together into the new authority.
