Participation in EU border forces
Finland will align its legislation with the EU regulation on the European Border and Coast Guard. Finnish authorities will participate in the EU joint standing corps and be able to disclose information to Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency.

Border Guard retirement and EU cooperation
The retirement ages for posts in the Finnish Border Guard will be raised gradually in line with the pension reform. At the same time, provisions will be added to legislation on Finland's participation in the European Border and Coast Guard activities and return operations.
