Ten-year limitation on marital rights
Following a divorce, a spouse's marital right to the other spouse's property will expire in ten years unless the spouses agree otherwise. At the same time, the requirement for a former spouse's consent to the sale of a home used as a joint residence will be abolished.

State inheritance decisions to the State Treasury
The State Treasury will in future make all decisions on transferring an inheritance that has passed to the state to a person close to the deceased or to a municipality. Previously, decisions on large inheritances worth over 750,000 euros were made by the Government.

Clarifying estate distribution adjustments
If an heir or testamentary beneficiary has been bypassed in a previously executed distribution of an estate, the distribution can be adjusted. Those who previously received an inheritance will be obligated to return the excess property they received, or its value in money, back to the estate of the deceased person.
