    A supervision and penalty system for the EU Deforestation Regulation will be introduced in Finland to prevent products causing deforestation from entering the market or being exported. The Finnish Food Authority will act as the principal supervisory authority, and substantial administrative penalty payments may be imposed for violations of the requirements.
