Laki ajokorttilain 61 §:n muuttamisesta
Eduskunnan päätöksen mukaisesti muutetaan ajokorttilain (386/2011) 61 §, sellaisena kuin se on osaksi laeissa 1081/2012 ja 70/2015, seuraavasti:
61 §Muu ulkomainen ajokortti
Muu kuin 59 tai 60 §:ssä tarkoitettu Suomen tunnustamassa valtiossa myönnetty kansallinen ajokortti oikeuttaa kuljettamaan Suomessa ajokortista ilmenevän luokan mukaista ajoneuvoa tai ajoneuvoyhdistelmää, jos:
1) ajokortin haltijan vakinainen asuinpaikka ei ajokorttia myönnettäessä ollut Suomessa;
2) ajokortin tiedot on merkitty latinalaisin kirjaimin, tai ajokortin lisäksi esitetään sen virallinen suomen- tai ruotsinkielinen käännös;
3) ajokortissa käytetystä luokituksesta käy ilmi sen sisältämä ajo-oikeus;
4) ajokortin mukana on kuvallinen henkilöllisyysasiakirja, jos ajokortissa ei ole haltijan valokuvaa;
5) ajokortin haltija täyttää ajokortin luokkaa vastaavat ikävaatimukset ja terveysvaatimukset;
6) ajokortti on voimassa sen myöntäneessä valtiossa.
Ajokortti hyväksytään ajamiseen Suomessa muualla kuin Ahvenanmaalla yhden vuoden ajan ajokortin haltijan väestörekisteriin merkitsemisestä edellyttäen, että se on voimassa eikä muuta syytä ajokortin kelpoisuuden lakkaamiseen aikaisemmin ole. Kuljettajan ajoterveydentilan valvontaan sovelletaan, mitä 20 ja 21 §:ssä säädetään.
Liikenteen turvallisuusvirasto voi ulkoasiainministeriön antaman todistuksen mukaisesti myöntää hakemuksesta ajokorttiluvan ulkomaista ajokorttia vastaavan ajokortin saamiseksi Suomessa ja luovuttaa ajokortin 24 §:n 2 momentin 3 kohdan mukaisesti uutta kuljettajantutkintoa vaatimatta ulkovallan Suomessa toimivan diplomaattisen edustuston, lähetetyn konsulin johtaman konsulaatin tai kansainvälisen järjestön Suomessa sijaitsevan toimipaikan henkilökuntaan kuuluvalle ulkomaalaiselle, joka on saapunut tätä tehtävää varten Suomeen ja tällaisen henkilön perheenjäsenelle.
Ulkomaisen ajokortin perusteella annettavaan ajokorttiin on merkittävä valtio, jonka myöntämän ajokortin perusteella se on annettu. Mitä tässä pykälässä säädetään muun ulkomaisen ajokortin kelpoisuudesta ja hyväksymisestä Suomessa ei koske ajokortin kelpoisuutta ja hyväksymistä Ahvenanmaalla.

Tämä laki tulee voimaan päivänä kuuta 20 .
