Laki Suomessa oleskelunsa rekisteröineiden Yhdistyneen kuningaskunnan kansalaisten ja heidän perheenjäsentensä oikeudesta oleskella Suomessa vuoden 2020 loppuun
Eduskunnan päätöksen mukaisesti säädetään:
1 §
Tätä lakia sovelletaan ennen Ison-Britannian ja Pohjois-Irlannin Yhdistyneen kuningaskunnan (Yhdistynyt kuningaskunta) eroamista Euroopan unionista Suomeen saapuneeseen Yhdistyneen kuningaskunnan kansalaiseen, joka on rekisteröinyt oikeutensa oleskella Suomessa tai jättänyt sitä koskevan rekisteröintihakemuksensa Maahanmuuttovirastolle ennen eroa, sekä hänen perheenjäseneensä.
2 §
Tämän lain soveltamisalaan kuuluvan oikeuteen oleskella Suomessa 1 §:ssä tarkoitetun eron jälkeen sovelletaan ulkomaalaislain (301/2004) 154, 156, 156 a, 158 a, 160, 161, 161 a—161 g, 163—168, 168 a, 168 b, 170—172 ja 172 a §:ää sekä 13 lukua.
Jos 1 §:ssä tarkoitettu rekisteröintihakemus hylätään, hakijan oikeus oleskella Suomessa lakkaa, kun hylkäävä päätös on tullut lainvoimaiseksi.
Tämän lain soveltamisalaan kuuluva rinnastetaan julkisesta työvoima- ja yrityspalvelusta annetun lain (916/2012) 2 luvun 2 §:n 1 momentissa tarkoitettuihin henkilöihin.
3 §
Tämä laki tulee voimaan päivänä kuuta 2019 ja on voimassa 31 päivään joulukuuta 2020.
Tätä lakia sovelletaan siitä päivästä, jona Yhdistynyt kuningaskunta eroaa Euroopan unionin jäsenyydestä, jos se ei ole ratifioinut Euroopan unionin kanssa tekemäänsä sopimusta erosta.
