Preventing falsified medicines and pharmacy agreements
Mandatory safety features will be introduced for prescription medicine packaging to enable verification of the authenticity of medicines and prevent falsifications. At the same time, pharmacies will have an obligation to check a customer's pharmacy agreement when dispensing medicines prone to abuse.

Stricter tobacco packaging security and traceability
Retail packaging of tobacco products will carry mandatory traceability codes and security features to combat illicit trade. Authorities will be granted the power to intervene in situations where the authenticity of packaging security features is compromised.

Simplifying official documents in the EU
The use of certain public documents, such as population register extracts or criminal records extracts, in other EU countries would become easier without a separate certificate of authenticity. Documents could be accompanied by a multilingual standard form, meaning that separate official translations would usually no longer be needed.
