The rights of the Food Market Ombudsman to obtain information from grocery trade operators and public contracting entities will be expanded to monitor market functioning. At the same time, prohibitions on cancelling food orders and on unjustified payments will be clarified to improve the position of primary producers.

Updating market rules for agricultural products
The Act on the Market Organisation for Agricultural Products will be updated to correspond to revised European Union legislation. The amendments concern in particular the fruit and vegetables sector, the sugar sector, meat classification and obligations to report price data.
