The rights of the Food Market Ombudsman to obtain information from grocery trade operators and public contracting entities will be expanded to monitor market functioning. At the same time, prohibitions on cancelling food orders and on unjustified payments will be clarified to improve the position of primary producers.

Banning unfair food trading practices
Unfair trading practices that weaken producers and small sellers, such as long payment terms and short-notice cancellations of orders, will be prohibited in the food supply chain. Compliance with the prohibitions will be supervised by the Food Market Ombudsman, and penalty payments may be imposed for infringements.
