Raising nuclear power plant liability
The liability of nuclear power plants to be covered by insurance in the event of an accident will be increased significantly. At the same time, liability amounts for other nuclear installations and transport of nuclear materials will be clarified, and a state guarantee will be enabled to compensate for long-term personal injuries.

Competitive aid for renewable electricity
A premium scheme based on competitive tendering will be introduced in Finland for renewable electricity to support the most cost-effective power plant investments. At the same time, the previous feed-in tariff scheme will be closed to new biogas and wood fuel power plants.
