Extending the care guarantee for adults
Waiting times for adults to access non-urgent primary healthcare and dental care will be extended. The existing shorter waiting times will remain in place for children and young people under 23 years of age.

Speeding up access to primary healthcare
Patients will be able to access non-urgent primary medical care within seven days and dental care within three months of an assessment of the need for care. Health centres will have to be contactable and provide an individual assessment of the need for care during the same working day.

Abolishing Kela reimbursements for private care
Kela reimbursements for private doctors, dental care and patient transport will be abolished. The corresponding public funding will be transferred to the future regions as part of the health and social services reform.
