Tax credit for clean transition investments
Finland will introduce a new tax credit for large industrial clean transition investments. Companies will be able to deduct part of the costs of climate-friendly projects worth at least 50 million euros from their future corporate income taxes.

Recovering unlawful venture capital aid
The state will be able to recover state aid for venture capital activities that has been granted unlawfully. Decisions on recovery and the determination of interest will be made by the Innovation Funding Agency Business Finland.

Updating legislative references to Business Finland
Six different acts will be updated to replace Tekes and Finpro with the names of the new Business Finland entity. At the same time, Business Finland Oy will be granted the right to receive information necessary for carrying out its duties.

Merging Tekes and Finpro into Business Finland
The Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation Tekes and Finpro Oy will be merged into the Business Finland entity at the beginning of 2018. Businesses will receive research, development, internationalisation and funding services centrally from a single operator.
