Low-emission car subsidies and scrapping premium
Private individuals can receive state aid to purchase an electric car, to convert a car to run on gas or ethanol, and to scrap an old car when purchasing a new low-emission vehicle. The subsidies aim to accelerate the reduction of transport emissions and renew the vehicle fleet.

Cutting car tax, raising vehicle tax
Car tax on low- and medium-emission cars will be reduced in stages between 2016 and 2019. At the same time, the annual vehicle tax on all cars will be increased from the beginning of 2017.
