Streamlining health research and data use
Conducting medical research and identifying patients for studies will be made easier by clarifying the use of health and social services data. At the same time, rules on biobank operations, the research use of deceased persons, and the procedures of research ethics committees will be specified.

Reforming supervision of medical devices
A new act on medical devices will be enacted in Finland to implement EU regulations and improve patient safety. The reform will tighten quality requirements and regulatory supervision for healthcare devices.
