    Deregulating education and student welfare

    Administrative obligations and planning requirements for schools and educational institutions will be eased to save costs for municipalities. Principals in upper secondary education will, among other things, be able to decide on temporary student expulsions, and qualification requirements for school social workers will be relaxed.

    Extending student welfare in vocational education

    All students completing an initial vocational qualification and those in preparatory education will be entitled to school psychologist and school social worker services regardless of their mode of study. The change enters into force on 1 January 2018.
