Cost support for agriculture and aquaculture
Temporary cost support will be paid to agriculture and aquaculture operators to alleviate the sharp rise in the prices of electricity and fertilisers. The aim of the support is to safeguard the liquidity of farms, domestic food production and security of supply.

Reforming fertiliser quality and supervision rules
Fertiliser legislation will be reformed to align with EU regulation, which will particularly facilitate market access for recycled fertilisers. At the same time, supervision of fertilisers will be enhanced and binding limits will be set for the use of phosphorus.

Approving EU fertiliser assessment bodies
The Finnish Food Authority will be designated as the authority that approves and notifies bodies assessing the conformity of EU fertilising products. At the same time, mechanical signing of decisions made in automated data processing will be permitted.
