Residence right applications for British citizens
British citizens living in Finland and their family members must apply for a right of residence under the Brexit withdrawal agreement to continue living in the country. Based on the application, they will be issued a new residence permit card confirming their right to work and access social security.

Facilitating foreign employment in critical sectors
All third-country nationals legally residing in Finland will be granted the right to work in sectors critical to security of supply. Working in these roles will be permitted regardless of the type of existing permit until the end of 2020.
