Tightening industrial and livestock emission regulations
Emission limits for large industrial installations will be tightened and their environmental requirements increased. At the same time, new activities, such as metal mines and smaller pig and poultry farms than before, will be brought within the scope of regulation.

Introducing a mining mineral tax
A new tax will be introduced in Finland on mining minerals and ores extracted from the ground. The majority of the collected tax revenues will be directed to the municipalities where mines are located, and the remainder to the state.
