Making ASP saving terms more flexible
The home saving scheme (ASP) aimed at first-time home buyers will be reformed and its provisions consolidated into a single act. The upper age limit for saving will be abolished, the number of repayment-free periods increased, and the minimum saving period will begin to be counted in months rather than quarters.

Tightening conditions for housing allowance
Housing allowance expenditure will be cut by freezing maximum housing expenditure limits for one year and increasing the impact of income on general housing allowance. The changes will reduce the allowance received by some beneficiaries.
