The rules of the Maritime Labour Convention will be updated to improve the position, well-being and occupational safety of seafarers. At the same time, obligations will be laid down concerning private recruitment and placement services in the maritime sector and the reporting of fatalities to the authorities.

Civil servant transfers and cooling-off periods
A state civil servant could be transferred for a fixed term to work partly in another agency or outside central government. In addition, provisions on paid cooling-off agreements lasting up to one year and on leave to appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court would be added to the act.

Lowering the Orthodox Church voting age
The voting age in Orthodox Church elections will be lowered to 16. At the same time, the term of office of the church assembly will be extended to four years and church administrative provisions will be clarified.

Improving seafarer security and agency work
Shipping companies will be required to take out insurance to cover employees' repatriation costs, unpaid wages and medical expenses in international transport. At the same time, access to vacancy notices and shared facilities on board vessels will be improved for agency workers in the maritime sector.
