Large companies and listed companies will be required to report regularly on the environmental and social impacts of their operations. The reported sustainability information must be independently assured by an auditor and published in digital format.

Extending remote meetings and meeting postponements
Companies, housing companies, co-operatives and associations can continue to hold their meetings remotely or postpone them due to the coronavirus pandemic. The temporary rules will be extended until the end of June 2022.

Postponing electronic financial reporting for listed companies
Securities issuers will be given a one-year extension to transition to a harmonised electronic format for financial statements. Companies may still publish their 2020 financial statements in the previous format.

Strengthening listed company corporate governance
Remuneration of management and related party transactions in listed companies will become more transparent, and shareholders' ability to influence remuneration will be strengthened. At the same time, institutional investors will be required to disclose their shareholder engagement, and listed companies will be given better opportunities to identify their shareholders.

Reforming listed company reporting and supervision
The statutory obligation for listed companies to publish quarterly reports will be abolished, and the prospectus requirement for small securities offerings will be eased. At the same time, the notification obligation for major shareholdings will be expanded, and sanctions for market violations will be tightened.
