Harmonising product market surveillance
Rules on market surveillance and import inspections for various product groups will be consolidated into a single general act. Tukes (the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency) will supervise products on the market and Finnish Customs will inspect imports at the EU's external borders.

Reforming civil explosives conformity rules
A new act will be enacted for explosives for civil uses to implement the requirements of an EU directive. At the same time, the permit procedure for importing foreign chemical tanks will be streamlined.

Harmonising rules for product inspection bodies
Rules on inspection and assessment bodies for nine different product groups will be brought together into a single general act. The reform clarifies the procedures by which bodies are approved and notified to EU authorities.
