Road tax for heavy goods vehicles
A new time-based road tax will be introduced in Finland for heavy goods vehicles weighing over 12 tonnes. At the same time, vehicle tax on domestic lorries will be reduced so that their overall tax burden does not increase on average.

Restricting foreign ties in military posts
A person who has dual citizenship or other foreign ties that compromise security could not be appointed to military posts in the Finnish Defence Forces or the Finnish Border Guard, or to studies leading to them. Potential risks would be assessed on a case-by-case basis in connection with a security clearance.

Defence Forces powers to intercept drones
The Finnish Defence Forces will receive the power to intercept drones and unmanned aircraft using technical devices or force. The powers will protect military sites and national defence against unauthorised intelligence gathering and other security threats.

Right of appeal against state appointments
An applicant who is not appointed to a state office or public-service employment relationship will be able to appeal the appointment decision to an administrative court. However, the right of appeal will not apply to, for example, the highest state offices, short fixed-term appointments or positions filled without an open application process.
