    Legislation on central securities depositories and the book-entry system is reformed to align with EU regulation. Finnish companies will also be able to issue their shares in foreign central securities depositories, but the direct ownership model and the public availability of ownership details for domestic investors are maintained.

    Basic information on mutual funds and other investment products will be presented to investors using an EU-wide standardised key information document. The reform will make it easier to compare different investment options and remove overlapping disclosure requirements for fund management companies.

    EU rules on simple and transparent securitisation will be introduced in Finland. The Financial Supervisory Authority will be granted powers to supervise securitisation and impose sanctions for breaches of the rules.
