Streamlining bank resolution and deposit protection
Bank resolution obligations will be eased in situations where a failing institution would be wound up in ordinary bankruptcy or liquidation proceedings. In addition, the authority will be able to transfer customer advisory and support tasks to an external service provider in congested crisis situations.

Equity savings accounts for retail investors
A new equity savings account will be created in Finland for private individuals. Within the account, listed shares can be traded and dividends accrued without immediate tax consequences.

Clarifying bank resolution and deposit guarantee
Rules on the resolution of banks and investment firms and the determination of deposit guarantee contributions will be clarified in line with EU regulation. At the same time, the obligation to draw up a recovery plan will be removed for certain investment firms.
