Securing social security for European prosecutors
The pension and social security of European Public Prosecutor's Office prosecutors working in Finland will be brought to the same level as domestic prosecutors. The salary paid by the office will accrue Finnish social security and pension rights through a calculated insurance salary.

Approval of the EU recovery package
Finland will approve the new financing system for the EU budget and a recovery package of 750 billion euros to address the consequences of the coronavirus crisis. The decision gives the European Commission exceptional authorisation to raise joint debt on the capital markets to support member states.

More flexible municipal finances and administration
The Local Government Act and the Transfer Tax Act will be amended to streamline municipalities' financial management, decision-making, and cooperation. Among other things, the reform clarifies the rules on electronic meetings, extends the right of initiative, and establishes a statutory framework for mergers of joint municipal authorities.

Launching the EPPO in Finland
Finland will participate in the activities of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) to combat financial crime and fraud affecting EU funds. The necessary legislative amendments will be made to national legislation to organise the powers of European prosecutors and inter-agency cooperation.
