Bank account monitoring and cryptocurrency regulation
An electronic bank and payment account monitoring system will be established in Finland to facilitate access to information by authorities and to prevent crime. At the same time, virtual currency providers will be required to register with the Financial Supervisory Authority and comply with anti-money laundering regulations.

Reforming waste transport registration and supervision
Registration rules for waste carriers and brokers will be reformed to combat the grey economy and make the monitoring of waste flows more effective. Corporate fines for aggravated accounting offences
Companies and other entities can be sentenced to a penalty for aggravated accounting offences committed in their operations. The change will make combating economic crime and corruption more effective.

Stricter penalties for environmental offences
More severe penalties can be imposed for the most serious nature conservation and environmental offences. A new offence of aggravated nature conservation offence will be added to the Criminal Code, carrying up to four years of imprisonment.

Securing Tax Administration data access
The Finnish Tax Administration will receive clearer rights to collect information from banks and other operators for tax supervision without identifying the individuals being audited in advance. At the same time, strict data protection safeguards and an obligation to erase unnecessary personal data will be laid down.
