VAT refunds on exported aid goods
Public-benefit organisations and religious communities will be granted the right to apply for a refund of value added tax (VAT) on goods they export outside the EU for relief activities. At the same time, the VAT-free importation of aid supplies will be restricted solely to goods received free of charge.

EU alignment of medical device regulation
The act governing medical devices will be updated to correspond to new EU regulations. The role of Valvira (the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health) as the official supervisory authority will be confirmed, and provisions on language requirements for device-related documentation will be laid down.
