    Enhancing aviation safety and criminal liability

    Finland will bring into force three international aviation safety conventions and expand the scope of application of its Criminal Code to offences committed on flights. At the same time, attempts to commit certain dangerous acts and interference with traffic will be made punishable.

    Stricter control of explosives precursors

    A more rigorous permit process and background check will be required to purchase and possess chemicals suitable for making explosives, such as concentrated sulphuric acid. The obligations of businesses and online marketplaces selling chemicals to verify customer details and report suspicious purchases will be increased.
