Mandatory insurance for rental e-scooters
Mandatory motor liability insurance will be introduced for all rental electric scooters and for light electric vehicles weighing more than 25 kilograms or having a speed exceeding 25 km/h. In addition, injuries caused by drivers to themselves in motorsport competitions will no longer be compensated under motor liability insurance.

Updating insurance sector supervision and requirements
Supervisory cooperation between the Financial Supervisory Authority and other European authorities in the insurance sector will be deepened. At the same time, the minimum amounts of mandatory liability insurance for insurance brokers will be increased and the qualification requirements for actuaries will be clarified.

Raising shipowners' liability limits
The maximum liability amounts of shipowners and shipping companies in maritime accidents will be increased by 51 per cent. The change will improve the ability of injured parties and authorities to obtain full compensation for damage incurred and response costs.
