Vaccine injury compensation for personnel abroad
State employees working abroad, personnel serving in crisis management duties and their family members will be entitled to compensation for adverse effects caused by a Covid-19 vaccine received abroad. Compensation will be paid on the same grounds as for pharmaceutical injuries caused by vaccines administered in Finland.

Transfer of foreign service healthcare reimbursements
Healthcare reimbursements for civil servants working in foreign missions and their family members will be transferred from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to the State Treasury. At the same time, they will gain access to the same 24-hour travel support service as other state business travellers.

State coverage of official travel damages
The state will discontinue private travel insurance policies and begin compensating for damages occurring on official travel abroad directly through the State Treasury. The change will bring savings to the state and harmonise travel coverage for personnel.
