    Extending closure compensation and cost support

    New cost support and closure compensation will be granted to businesses that suffered from coronavirus restrictions during the winter 2021–2022 closures. Support can be sought especially by operators in tourism, hospitality and the events sector, as well as businesses whose premises were closed or events prohibited.

    Easing coronavirus restrictions on venues

    The statutory two-metre safe distance requirement and infection incidence threshold will be removed from coronavirus restrictions on customer premises and public spaces. Authorities will be able to impose restrictions on the use of premises more flexibly and on a more case-by-case basis than before.

    Event guarantee for public event organisers

    An event guarantee will be created for organisers of public events and their subcontractors to compensate for costs if an event has to be cancelled or restricted due to coronavirus regulations. The guarantee covers 85 per cent of incurred costs announced in advance.

    Expanding police security checks at events

    The police will be able to search persons present in the area of public events and gatherings, searching not only for dangerous objects but also for other prohibited substances, such as drugs. Where the situation requires, a search may be conducted without a concrete suspicion of an offence.
