Enhancing mandatory health checks and disclosure
Authorities and communicable disease control physicians will be able to order individuals or groups of people to undergo mandatory health checks to prevent the spread of a generally hazardous communicable disease. At the same time, persons exposed to infection or infected will be required to disclose their contact details to healthcare professionals.

Reforming the carcinogen exposure register
Legislation on the registration of employees exposed to carcinogenic and mutagenic substances at work will be reformed. Employers will report data on exposed employees and substances used directly to the ASA register maintained by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.

Overhauling radiation safety and supervision
A new Radiation Act will be enacted in Finland to transpose the EU Radiation Safety Directive into national legislation and modernise radiation protection rules. The reform would tighten safety requirements for the use of radiation and enhance the supervision of indoor radon and various treatment devices.

Statutory reporting of biological hazards
Employers' obligation to report the spread of dangerous biological agents and keep records of exposed employees will be incorporated directly into law. The amendment clarifies the legislation, but does not introduce significant new practical obligations.
