At the same time, compensation for tax revenue losses resulting from changes in tax legislation will be transferred to a separate budget item.

    EU alignment of medical device regulation

    The act governing medical devices will be updated to correspond to new EU regulations. The role of Valvira (the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health) as the official supervisory authority will be confirmed, and provisions on language requirements for device-related documentation will be laid down.

    Procuring language teaching between higher education institutions

    Universities and universities of applied sciences will be able to provide language and communication training included in degrees jointly or purchase it from another higher education institution. Higher education institutions will thus no longer need to organise all such teaching entirely themselves.
