Reforming agricultural support for the EU
The agricultural support system will be reformed for the EU's 2023–2027 funding period by enacting new acts on direct payments to farmers, rural development compensations and the implementation of support. Previous complex payment entitlements will be abolished, aid applications will become fully electronic, and monitoring will transition to satellite tracking.

Temporary cut in agricultural property tax
Agricultural operators will receive temporary support towards their 2022 property tax to ease the rise in production costs. The support will be granted on application as a property tax reduction or a tax refund.

More flexible terms for young farmer support
A young farmer will be able to receive the full five years of support even if they do not apply for it in their first year of operation. The change applies to farmers who set up a farm after 2013.

Streamlining agricultural subsidy rules and monitoring
Satellites and drones would be used in monitoring agricultural subsidies, and subsidy conditions for farmers would be eased. In addition, melliferous fallow land that benefits pollinators would be approved as part of greening payments.

Easing pest control requirements for farmers
Farmers who have completed a plant protection qualification will be permitted to use professional pest control products without a separate pest controller qualification. In addition, using chemicals in breach of EU authorisation terms will be made punishable.
