Extending closure compensation and cost support
New cost support and closure compensation will be granted to businesses that suffered from coronavirus restrictions during the winter 2021–2022 closures. Support can be sought especially by operators in tourism, hospitality and the events sector, as well as businesses whose premises were closed or events prohibited.

Earlier background checks on travel providers
The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (KKV) will gain access to information on travel service providers from the Grey Economy Information Unit sooner than previously planned. The data will allow the authority to monitor whether operators meet their statutory obligations starting as early as late 2018.
