Lowering elderly care staffing ratio
The statutory minimum staffing ratio for 24-hour care for older people will decrease to 0.6 workers per client from the beginning of 2025. The previous plan to raise the staffing ratio to 0.7 workers is cancelled completely.

Postponing tighter elderly care staffing ratios
The full entry into force of the minimum staffing ratio of 0.7 employees in 24-hour care for older people will be postponed until December 2023. From the beginning of April 2023, however, the staffing requirement will rise temporarily to 0.65 employees per client.
