    Rules on the compulsory stockpiling of natural gas and other imported fuels will be updated. The obligation to stockpile natural gas will apply to gas users and sellers instead of importers, including smaller operators.

    Finland will accede to international protocols aimed at combating maritime terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The agreements give authorities the right to stop and inspect vessels suspected of offences in international waters with the consent of the flag state.
